Do you want to know WHY the wheelbase is so narrow for such a high vehicle you stupid cunt? BECAUSE IT'S BUILT OFF OF A CHASSIS THAT WAS MEANT TO BE DRIVEN OFFROAD YOU FUCKING IDIOT! IT DOESN'T DRIVE LIKE A CAR BECAUSE IT'S NOT A CAR!

        Of course, she probably swerved to miss the fricking ladder, because there was at least 1 a week. But she probably was too busy talking on her cell phone, putting on her mascara, and drinking her starbucks to realize what she needed to do until it was too late.

        SUV's don't perform like cars, but then again, she probably doesn't know how to drive, either. Too many people in SD drive like idiots. (25 in the rain, or 75 while the rest of the highway is at 25)

          Mmmmm... I don't think you can nominate people like that. I mean, the children involved don't have much choice, so if their braindead parents take them out, it's not really self-removal from the gene pool. Nominating people who willingly get into the SUV, on the other hand, might work.

  • What drove the whole idea behind SUVs was that they are not automobiles, and should not have to comply with all the bs regulations required for cars. This made them cheaper, at least originally, and so people flocked to them.

    To say now that, because people are stupid, these vehicles must magically behave like cars is absurd. I hate to side with auto makers twice in one week (see my comment re: why car engine trouble codes should not be accessable to all), but give em a break! Car makers didn't have to m

      Car engine trouble codes don't tell you what's broken, they tell you what's wrong. If my car starts sputtering and choking, it could be a vacuum leak, exhaust pressure, o2 sensor.. I have no idea. If I can get the trouble code, however, it'll tell me, and I'll have a more specific starting point. Result? I can fix a 6

        Only true of rather old car engine systems. The newer ones, from when I was last employed to actually do things with them (which means the ones that we got the info for, about 1995-ish vintage), were bi-directional, and could do all sorts of things, from controlling the fuel injectors to adjusting the timing. Muck with these on a running engine, and you could get into trouble.
