The company discovered the alleged scheme through a "honeypot" trap -- a specially created Slack channel mentioned in a letter to Deel executives. This is a fucked company moment, and if Rippling has what they say they have, there's no way on earth they settle.
That guy is headed for the deepest of bankruptcies and a fucked career. If there is an arrangement between that guy and Deel that comes up in discovery, they're going to fuck them sideways with a garden weasel, and everyone involved is going to discover the length, width, and breadth of the shaft in the most uncomfortable way possible.
