cswilly writes "Scott Bradner of Network World has an easy-to-read and pretty complete review of the the recent goings on with copyright issues in congress and the courts. He also points to the not to be missed Congressional Budget Office (CBO) examination of the trade-offs in this area. Both are worth reading." We did mention the CBO study before.

Besides his publish and IETF work, Scott is also the chief security officer for Harvard [harvard.edu]. He also teaches. [harvard.edu]

I'm looking for to taking the prep course [harvard.edu] which starts in a couple of weeks prior to taking the Bradners advanced class in the Spring. Bradner sometimes guest-lectures one of the Fall classes.

The last three and a half years have been full of this stuff. Government that puts Big Business at the top of its list of priorities will certainly side with the corporations. It's a no-brainer.

It also doesn't help that congresscritters are generally quick to believe anything that comes in a nicely bound and printed booklet purporting to be a "study" of some sort or another, even when the name on the study is the same one that's embroidered on the shirt of the guy submitting it.

Then you'll see a S#!T load of grumpy people rise from their couches. Old and young viewers will protest.
FYI: My 65+ father in-law has no opinion on anything but you should see him swear and bitch when his TV is threated by the cable/satelite companies.
