NFTs Qualify For Trademark Protection, Ninth Circuit Rules (theblock.co) 22
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that NFTs qualify as "goods" under the Lanham Act, entitling them to trademark protection. The decision in Yuga Labs v. Ryder Ripps establishes that brand owners can sue NFT copycats with the same legal tools used against counterfeit sneakers or handbags.

Except when crypto currencies are used to obtain NFTs via another jurisdiction. After all, NFTs are just data.

Not really, as we've seen the slower it is the more chance it has to take and strengthen roots. A despotic reigime that takes over quickly tends to be the easiest to remove. The one that has had years, if not decades to move their people into key positions will take a Herculean effort to dislodge.

Yes. Most people don't want a govt that changes every week, or only takes an hour to decide what the law should be.

You copied my nothing, I'm suing. I'm so angry.
