iFixit Now Sells Microsoft Surface Parts For Repair

iFixit has started selling genuine replacement parts for Microsoft Surface devices. From a report: The company now offers SSDs, batteries, screens, kickstands, and a whole bunch of other parts for 15 Surface products. Some of the devices on that list include the Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, Surface Go 4, Surface Studio 2 Plus, and others. You can check out the entire list of supported products and parts in this post on Microsoft's website. In addition to supplying replacement parts, iFixit also offers disassembly videos and guides for each product, as well as toolkits that include things like an opening tool, tweezers, drivers, and more.

A two pound hammer?

I know you are just trolling for mod points. But the reality is they are one of the better range of laptops on the market, hence their success despite the ridiculous pricing and general anti MS sentiment.

I haven't looked at the newer ones, but the original Surface devices were notorious. Literally made of glue, and impossible to open without destroying the luxury fabric material they used. If your device ever needed servicing then large parts of it had to be sacrificed and replaced, before fixing the actual fault.

Hopefully the newer ones are a lot better.

I nope'd out of attempting to repair a friend's more recent generation Surface for exactly that reason
