Censorship

Submission + - Is Ireland next to censor the internet? (irishtimes.com)

An anonymous reader writes: According to the Irish Times the Irish Government has had extensive talks regarding the censorship of the Internet. Details are a little sketchy as the documents requested under the Freedom of Information were denied. Similar to the land down under, the reasoning behind the censorship is "won't somebody think of the children!" (and the 'copyright holders').

And don't forget — Ireland is the country that recently made blasphemy a criminal offence.
