Techers Credit Union Using Security Tokens for Online Access

Mum received a letter from the Teachers Credit Union offering a 'first one's free' deal on a security token for online access. Seems this type of key is trickling down into the masses at last. This one is offered by Australia Post as announced back in February; FTA:
This low-cost, secure and convenient service enables financial institutions to implement strong, multi-factor, one time password (OTP) security tokens for online banking authentication.

From the Credit Union description:
"Teachers Credit Union has introduced one time password technology to further protect internet banking users. A one time password is generated by a security token which provides an extra layer of security to protect your accounts against fraudulent activity.
A security token generates a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds from a million possible combinations. You can order a security token in internet banking (in the Other menu then select Security Options) and for a limited time, it's free of charge."

NSW to roll out free WiFi service

"The NSW Government has announced it plans to install a free wireless broadband network throughout
the Sydney CBD and other major centres by early 2008."
"Other major cities have similar networks. For example, Google currently offers free wireless access to residents in Mountain View, California and is partnering with Earthlink and local authorities in San Fracisco Bay area to provide free wireless access."
