Funny...I once thought there was something about prior art in IP legislation. You know, the whole "if someone else did it in 1987 you can't stop other people from doing it as of now" thing.
Hell, even if it hadn't been in Arthur, it's been in UNIX since 1989. This is about as ridiculous as Microsoft trying to trademark the graphical file manager or something.
