kRemit writes "The German hacker group Chaos Computer Club (CCC) today sued ( http://www.ccc.de/updates/2008/wahlcomputer-hessen?language=en ) the German State of Hessen to prevent the use of electronic voting maschines in the upcoming elections on January 27. This comes as a follow-up to the dutch initiative "Wij vertrouwen stemcomputers niet" ("We don't trust voting maschines") who succeeded in banning the NEDAP-type computers for their country (as previously mentioned on /. : http://politics.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/01/18/152205 ) after they analysed the voting maschine and found glaring weak spots ( http://www.wijvertrouwenstemcomputersniet.nl/images/9/91/Es3b-en.pdf Warning: PDF!)."
