An anonymous reader writes: With the PRISM and other NSA spying revelations there have been many recommendations to begin using encryption wherever possible. The problem is, apart from plugging HTTPS Everywhere into my browser, I have no idea how to go about using encryption in my daily life and work. How does one email/text/call friends and coworkers who are even less computer literate than I am? How do you hide what webpages you are visiting? Is it realistic to use encryption if nobody you communicate with understands it?
