curtwoodward writes "In the summer of 2010, a small game studio in Boston called Conduit Labs was acquired by Zynga, just as the social games company was rocketing to fame amid the social media frenzy. For the new Boston studio, it was a dream deal. A little more than two years later, after Zynga's IPO sputtered and its stock started falling, a corporate exec showed up unannounced to shut Zynga Boston down by the end of the day. This is the inside story of that roller coaster ride and the start of Proletariat, a new startup mobile game studio that rose from the ashes."
