redletterdave writes: "A team of hackers claims to have stolen Mitt Romney's tax returns from PricewaterhouseCoopers' offices in Franklin, Tenn., and is threatening to release them to the public on Sept. 28 unless a $1,000,000 ransom is paid in Bitcoins. In two postings on Pastebin, the anonymous hackers claim to have gained access to the third floor of the building, broken into one of the office suites, and stolen Mitt and Ann Romney's available 1040 tax forms. The team said it copied the returns and plans to send flash drives with the files to the local Democratic and Republican offices in Tennessee as well as "major news media outlets" should the ransom not be paid."
