h00manist (800926) writes "Mesh networking protocol 802.11s is getting ratified by the IEEE. LWN has news from the Linux Wireless Summit. — "802.11s Mesh Networking was ratified by IEEE for integration into 802.11. Javier Cardona has been leading its implementation and support on mac80211. In this session he reviews 802.11s with open and encrypted environments." — You can set it up on OpenWRT. It's been in the kernel since version 2.6.22. So it seems like it should be stable by now. Has anyone used it?"
