+ - Uwe Boll Lawsuit Against Movie Pirates-> 1

Submitted by linzeal
linzeal (197905) writes "Directors whose films have done poorly at the box office are increasingly being solicited by high-power law firms shopping to file lawsuits with offers of settlement. The practice of which the EFF has been calling extortive and "mafia-like", with the courts starting to rule in favor of the consumer and in some cases throwing out the lawsuits. This is all fine and dandy, however, when you are considered the world's worst director and you largely finance films through your own holding company, the rhetoric and ridicule gets ratcheted up rather quickly."

    Boll produces movies with the stated goal of being cheap and formerly of making money from the taxcuts, and making money from DVD and other such sales.
    Bay thinks he creates quality movies.
